Ewa Mall Expansion at Ala Moana Center added 1.5 million square feet to what is known as the largest open-air mall in the world. Complex construction land locked and open to the public made this logistically challenging. Parking Structure 819,000 SF of additional parking by adding five new levels of parking structure onto the existing four-level structure remaining open with strategic phasing execution.

Ewa extension required more than 57,000 cubic yards of concrete, 4,800 tons of rebar, and 2,600 tons of structural steel. At one time, there were nine cranes on site, more than any other construction project in the state. 940 Auger Cast Piles were drilled depths ranging 50-70’ deep. 100 micropiles were installed as foundation support for certain structural elements within the existing parking garage.
